New York, NY (November 10, 2017) – Nashville’s Ernest K. is a genre-defying artist who fuses roots, hip-hop and island vibes, all birthed from his time writing and recording in St. Thomas. Today, he releases the silky new single “Trouble With Us” via Big Loud / Human Re Sources / Tree Vibez, a label partnership between Big Loud Records (Florida Georgia Line, Chris Lane), Brian Kelly and Tyler Hubbard of Florida Georgia Line, and legendary music mogul J Erving (Nelly, Jeremih).

“It’s about the early stages of a relationship,” says Ernest K. of the track. “It’s also when you realize you might be catching feelings… and wonder if she is too. It’s a vulnerable song ahout taking the next step and making things a little more serious with that girl.”

Also out today is “Insomnia”, the ‘sister-song’ to “Trouble With Us”. The track highlights K’s complex cadences juxtaposed against a slick chorus and is also the tale of a new love.

“When you’re up all night, rollin around with a new girl you’re pretty sure could be the one,” continues K. “I’m a story teller, and this song is just another piece of my story.”

The new singles are a part of a ‘Waterfall Release’ of tracks that will lead to Ernest K’s debut EP. They follow the release of “Bad Boy”, which is already approaching a million streams at Spotify. Together, the three singles show the breadth of Ernest K’s musical palette and accentuate his passion for various genres and changing the way we look at the sounds that emerge from Music City.

With more releases to come, Ernest K.’s creative journey will be a complete one. From his inspirations, collaborations with Jim Jonsin, DJ Mustard, Charlie Handsome, The Stereotypes and Yung Berg, to the aesthetic look of his album artwork, it will be unlike anything currently afloat in music. And for Ernest K., that’s what makes it worthwhile: to belong everywhere and nowhere at once.
